Pizza Pizza-Red Baron Brick Oven Cheese Oven. Not what I expected it to taste like!

Thanks to BzzAgent and Red Baron for allowing my family to try the Red Baron Brick Oven Pizza for free via a coupon and all opinions are of my own.

Now for the Real Story....
One might think Pizza is just pizza but with all of the different brands on the market, it is amazing how pizza can taste different from the sauce, toppings, and the crust.  Honestly there is nothing better than fresh, homemade pizza with fresh toppings out of the produce section or farmer's market but sometimes there is not enough time and a frozen pizza saves the day!
We were excited to try the frozen Red Baron Brick Oven pizza and with a house full of vegetarians we purchased the cheese.  At a later date I tried the Mushroom and Spinach.  In the past Red Baron has been a decent pizza.  Not the best but one that the girls would tolerate and eat.  Unfortunately this pizza was not great.  Actually fair is not even a word to describe it.  It was awful!  Sorry Red Baron but it was lack in toppings and the crust taste like stale bread.  Whatever you did to the sauce, please change it back.  The old sauce recipe was better.  The sauce on this pizza was too sweet.  And why would you limit the amount of cheese on your pizza?  The little bit of cheese that was on this pizza fell off as we were trying to eat it.  Sadly, half of the pizza ended up in the garbage.
My 14 year old daughter was eager to try the pizza from Red Baron but that joy was turned into disappointment after she took her first bite into it.  Not thrilled!
Cutting the Pizza and realizing the cheese is not only scarce but the little bit of cheese that is on it is falling off and the sauce is oozing out from everywhere..

This is not good! Gray Skunk Alert!

Alert the press!  Has anyone seen the skunk today?

Well this is how I feel after about three weeks of using eSalon.com dark brown hair dye!  Lets just say I am not real happy with the end results.  Most of the time when I color my hair the dye stays rich and dark.  Of course I have the area where the gray does start to grow back but it is never this noticeable.  I look like I have a skunk on my head.

I feel like eSalon.com hair color dye not only lose it magic but the color faded.  For the price of this hair dye it should not had faded like this.  I have used the $3.99 cheap Revlon box hair dye from Wal-Mart and it did not look like this after about 3 week.  This is really sad!  I expected more out of eSalon.com brand.

I think it is time for me to touch it up a bit.  Of course I will be visiting my big box store to purchase the hair dye this time.  The cost of eSalon.com is not worth it if the end result in about 3 weeks is going to be this.  I really thought I would see a big difference in how this hair dye worked but I am about to cry.  No one wants to see a skunk cry.

My hair is lacking that magic it once had.  The color is dull and blah.  Of course the gray is my major issue right now.  I just can't get over how faded the color is.  And the gray...it is not just the roots but even on the sides.  So sad that eSalon.com didn't hold up to its name!  I really wanted to have a postive end results with this product.  Especially since their customer service was very helpful and nice.  I am happy that I was able to try this hair dye for free from eSalon.  All views and opinions are of my own.

eSalon.com: To buy or not to buy?

I can't exactly remember where I saw eSalon.com advertised at.  It might had been a magazine or one of those annoying advertisement pop ups in my feed on Facebook but curiosity overcame my desire to ignore that pesky ad and I type in eSalon.com in the address bar.  Unfortunately, not knowing anything about this company the price of $19.99 for hair dye kept me from clicking anything else.  I am one of these who is not going to spend a lot of money on something that I have no idea if it works.  Living on a budget you have to be careful and choose wisely.  So if I can buy the hair dye at my local box store or Sally's for half of the price, why would I spend $19.99 plus shipping on something that I have no clue if it works.

Well this is where eSalon and BzzAgent comes into play!  I was selected through BzzAgent to try eSalon.com product for free as long as I give them my honest feedback.  Not only did I receive hair dye but eSalon.com was offering up to $60 worth of free goodies.  Not a bad offer!  Actually it is a great offer!  So yes I received all of this from eSalon.com for free plus their shampoo and conditioner which is not in the photo below.  (Look at photo below)

Everything came in a nicely package box and very organized!  I have to say it was professional looking!  Can't complain about packaging and delivery!  eSalon made sure their package arrived at my house in good condition.

I did have some problem ordering the items and ended up being charged for the full amount but after talking to customer service via their 1-800 number (Do no email customer service) the charge was taken off of my credit card.  Customer service was very helpful and polite.  I have to say their customer service deserves a 10+ for service!  As for ordering online, everything went smoothly.  You answer a few questions, can upload a photo of your face and hair, and their hair coloring specialist will match the perfect color for you going by your skin tone, eye color, etc.  If you get a chance check out some of the other products that they have online too.  Communication through email as far as purchasing item, when they were shipping item out, and when it would arrive was very accurate.  The only problem I had was trying to email the company to fix the overcharge and a simple phone call worked.  I was not even on the phone more than five minutes.

I have those stubborn gray roots that annoy the living daylights out of me.  It doesn't matter what I do they seem to pop up after two weeks of coloring. This is a before photo with the nice hair clips they sent.  The clips were able to hold my hair which is a plus.  And I didn't even break one!

So I guess I was hoping for a miracle.  A girl can hope for a miracle!  I think the closest product I have found that cover all of my stubborn gray was Ion from Sally's   Even eSalon didn't do the job.
It looks better than it did though!  The only thing that really bother me was the color seem to really stain my scalp and skin.  The scalp stayed a stained tint of brown for almost a week after I color it and that was after two washes.

I do love the color.  The darkest brown color that I was sent for free from eSalon.com is the closest I have gotten to my natural dark brown.  It is rich, warm in color.  I am satisfy with the color but wish it would stay a bit longer around my face and scalp.  I notice within a couple of days the gray starting to shine through again.

So what about the process of coloring your hair?  Honestly I would love to go to the salon and let them do it but that is not something I can afford and I am not going around looking like a skunk.  Follow the instructions!  The eSalon sent detailed instructions and they are easy to follow.  Just remember to put the first coat on top and leave it on just like the instructions say and then add the dye to the bottom part of you hair for the recommend time.  One thing I did notice with this product that it did not have that strong ammonia chemical smell that some brands have that leave me with that queasy, woozy feeling.  I was also amazed that eSalon sent two pair of disposable of gloves in the kit. And the stain remover (vaseline) was a nice touch in case you didn't have vaseline on hand.  For the price, eSalon does provide a few extras that you do not get in your box hair dye from the stores.  As you can tell from the photo collage my skunk look was really showing by the time I used the hair dye.  I wanted to give the coloring a fair chance!  And the mixing bowl rocks!  It was large enough to prevent spills and splashes and had a bottom that didn't slip.  The brush applicator was perfect size to apply to roots and hard to get places.  I used the bottle applicator to apply the larger areas.

The mixture mixed easily and very little mess.  It as a creamy like texture which didn't run as bad as some brands I have used in the past.

After I color my hair (sorry but no photos during the actual process) I ended up with this look.  It was a couple days later I notice the gray started to show its ugly face and the battle was not won.  I think my hair was waving a white flag of defeat when it came to hiding all of the gray but I did like the color eSalon provided.

Will I purchase hair dye from eSalon again?  Probably not but I would recommend the company to someone who wants to spend a little more on their hair dye.  It is not a bad product just a little out of my budget.  I am thankful I was able to try this product for free from eSalon through BzzAgent and all opinions in this blog are of my own.
